This Informant upon his oath saith that on or
about the seventeenth of October last [..] he put up his
Horse in the Stable of Henry Leader< no role >
at the Kings
Head in Smithfield
London about three o'Clock or the
same day, that about five o' Clock the same day
in the afternoon he came to take the said Horse
but he did not find him in the Stable; that he
saw Thomas Smith< no role >
in Smithfield
he asked him [..]
for a job & that this Informant answered him
that his Horse was not to be sold that this
Informant [..] understanding his Horse was Advertised in the
News Papers & to be heard of at Ipswich
in the
County of Suffolk
, he came thither & found the
aforesaid Thomas Smith< no role >
in Ipswich Goal, who
said to him that he spoke to the Boy belonging
to the King's Head
in Smithfield
to get Mr.
[..] Stacey's Horse or Lacey's not knowing this
Informant's name that he took the said
Horse & rode away with it & that this Infor
mant found his Horse in the Hands of John
Eaton
of Stuston in the County of Suffolk
