To the Rt. Honble the Lord Mayor and the rest
of his Majesty's Justices of the peace for the City of
London in General Quarter Session of the Peace at the
Guildhall in and for the said City assembled

The humble Petition and appeal of the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of St. Clement Danes in
the County of Middlesex .

Sheweth

That by Order under the Hands and Seals of
The Rt. Honble George Nelson< no role > Esqr . Lord Mayor and Sr. John
Cartwright< no role > Knt . & Alderman two of his Majesty's Justices of
the Peace for the City of London and Liberties thereof (one
of the Quorum) bearing date the 9th, day of May 1766 ,
Elizabeth Walker< no role > Wife of Edmund Walker< no role > (in the said
Order said to be gone from her) was removed from the
Parish of St. Dunstan in the West in the City of London
to the sd Parish of St. Clement Danes as the place of her last
legal Settlement whereby Your Petitioners conceive them-
selves to be aggrieved and against the said Order do appeal

Your Petitioners therefore humbly pray
the benefit of the said Appeal may be
Saved to them and that the hearing and
determining thereof May be Adjourned
until the next GeneralQuarterSession
of the peace to be holden for the said
City of London
