The King on the Prosecution of Edmund Howard< no role > against John Allard< no role >

George Bussee< no role > of Hampstead in the County of Middlesex Timber Merchant
Lawrence Gray< no role > of Cliffords Inn London Gentleman
William Charlton< no role > of Fleetstreet London Grocer and Richard Aynge< no role > of Grafton
Street in the parish of Saint Ann's Soho Baker Severally Make Oath and
Say that they did respectively know the said John Allowed for Several years before
they become Bail or Security for his Appearance to Answer a Come laid to his
Charge for Forging and Counterfeiting an Indorsement or Assignment of a Certain
Promisory Note for payment of Money And that till that time he the said John
Allard lived in good Credit and reputation and was Generally Esteand as on
Honest man and Man of Substance And these Deponants Severally So that
by Means of the said Establish'd Good Character Reputation and Fortune of the said
John Allard< no role > they were at his Request Induced to become Bail and did Enter into
a Recognizance for such his Appearance then Believing the said John Allard< no role >
wholly Innocent of the Fogery and Crime he was then Charged with both from the
manner of his Relating his Case and from the great Credit and reputation he then
Lived in and Believing therefore that he the said John Allard< no role > mend appear to the
said Charge According to the said Recognizance And these Deponents Severally Say
that they have been Informed and which Information they verily Relias to be true
that the said John Allard< no role > did about the Ninth day of December One thousand Seven
hundred and Sixty four Abscond and Sett out for Holland where then Deponents
Severally Believe he the said John Allard Still remains And these Deponents
Severally Say that the said John Allard< no role > so Absconded Unknown to these Deponents
of either of them and without their or either of their privity Consent or Procurement
