Thomas Urmson< no role > of London Mariner mate of the Ship or Vessell
called the Triumph of Liverpool whereof John Urmson< no role > is Master and
James Kelly< no role > of Mill street in the Parish of Saint Mary Bermondsey in
the County of Surry Waterman severally make Oath and first the said
Thomas Urmson< no role > saith that on or about the Ninth day of May last
Five thousand two hundred Bushells of English White Salt were
loaded on Board the said Ship or Vessell at Liverpool aforesaid and clear
there in order to be Conveyed by Sea to the port of London for and on account
of Thomas Williams< no role > Jonathan Bowles< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. and others of London Merchants
the Owners thereof and that the Duties for the said Salt had been actually
paid to his Majesty and this Deponent further saith that on or about the
Tenth day of the said Month of May the said Ship or Vessell with the said
Salt on board her Sailed from Liverpool aforesaid for the Port of
London and Arrived on the Twenty fifth day of the said month of May
the River Thames and afterwards some to her Moorings in the said
River at Cox's Key near London Bridge And this Deponent the
said James Kelly< no role > for himself saith that on the fourth day of June Instant
he had directions to go with a Lighter Boat to receive on board from
the said Ship or Vessell Forty one Sacks of Salt containing One
hundred and Sixty four Bushels in order to be conveyed to Queen hithe
in the City of London And with the said One hundred and Sixty four
bushels of Saltwere delivered from the said Ship or Vessell on Board
a Sound and good Lighter boat of the Burthen of Eleven Tons and more
on account of the said Jonathan Bowles< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. and Company the Owners there of
And that the said Lighter Boat with the said One Hundred and Sixty
four Bushels of Salt on Board her [..] put off under the Care of this
Deponent from the said Ship in order to go through London Bridge
with the Tide which then wanted about an hour of High Water And said
that as soon as the said Lighter Boat came near the said Bridges he
this Deponent found that the Tide run so strong that he was obliged to
endeavour as the safest way to put the said Lighter Boat Stern
foremost through the said Bridge but the Stern of the said Lighter
