The Information of Mr. George
Oxlade
< no role > Clerk in the General Post
office Taken before me this 8th.
day of Septr. 1761

Who being on Oath says that he Yesterday went in Company
with William Griffin< no role > and John Wright< no role > both belonging
to the said office to the House of Daniel Carrington< no role > a
Sorter in the said Office in order to Search for Letters suspected
to be frandulently Secreted by said Carrington in Prejudice to
the Revenue of the said Office, and this Informant says
that upon such Search he found several Letters Looked
upon in said Carrington's Buroe, which mentioned Cash to have been
inclosed in such Letters, but that the said Letters were
opened andthatthe Cash Taken from thence and [..]
this Informt. further says that he verily beleives that the
said Carrington broke open the said Letters and feloniously
Took and carried away the several tims of Money
therein continued and applied the same to his own Use
says that he this day Searched [..] a drawes in the said
Post Office and a Closet in the Bed & Chambers of said Carrington
in said Office and both belonging to him, wherein he found
many Letters opened which likewise mentioned Money to have
been therein inclosed but what as he verily beleives had
been feloniusly Petitioner of them by said Carrington
and Conserted to his over [..] aforesaid
