Knt . Lord Mayor of the City of London and the
rest of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said
City in their General Quarter Sessions of the peace
Assembled.

The Humble Petition and Appeal of the Churchwardens
and Overseers of the poor of the parish of Saint Giles
in the Fields in the County of Middlesex .

Sheweth


That by Virtue of an Order or Pass Warrant under the
Hands and Seals of the said Lord Mayor and Francis Cokayne< no role >
Esqr . two of His Majesty's Justices of the peace for the said City
(one whereof being of the Quorum) bearing date the Twelfth day of
November last Edward Somerton< no role > Elizabeth< no role > his wife and their Child
Elizabeth< no role > aged one Year were removed and Conveyed from the Parish
of Saint Brides in the said City to the said Parish of St. Giles
in the Fields as the place of their last Legall Settlement.

Your Petitioners think themselves
aggrieved by the said Order or pass Warrant
of the said two Justices of the peace , Appeal
to this Court against the same and humbly
pray that your worships will be pleased to
appoint a day for the hearing and Determining
of the said Appeal.

And your Petitioners shall ever pray. Etc
