Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor
of the Parish of Saint Nicholas at Deptford
in the County of Kent
and to every of them.

WHEREAS Complaint hath been made unto Us, two
of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace for the City of
London and Liberties thereof, one being of the Quorum, by
the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of the said
Parish of Saint Sepulchres
London, That William Melton< no role > and Mary< no role > his Wife
are
lately come to reside in their said Parish, not having obtain'd
any legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge-
able thereto, unless timely prevented, which Complaint We
the said Justices, upon due Proof made thereof, as well upon
the Oath of the said William Melton< no role > as otherwise, do
adjudge to be true; and We do also adjudge the last legal
Settlement of the said William Melton< no role > and mary
his Wife
to be in the said Parish of Saint Nicholas
and that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

These are therefore in his Majesty's Name to will and re-
quire you the Church-Wardens and Overseers of the Poor of
the said Parish of Saint Sepulchres
London, forthwith to remove and convey the said William
Melton and Mary his Wife
from and out of your said Parish, unto the said Parish of
Saint Nicholas
And them deliver unto the Church-Wardens and Overseers
of the Poor there, or to some or one of them, together with this
our Order, who is and are hereby required to receive and pro-
vide for them according to Law. Given under our Hands
and Seals, this 14th Day of March One Thousand
Seven Hundred and Fifty Eight .
