was very positive that the Person who robbed him (meaning himself the said Edward Bygrave< no role > then personating the said
John Spurce< no role > as aforesaid) was the said William Franlyn< no role > abovenamed (meaning thereby the said William Frankland< no role > )
as by the said [..] if this be property an Exaiacon or an InformaconNot Examination may more at large appear Whereas in truth and in fact the said William Frankland< no role > or
the said William Franklyn< no role > who is mentioned to have been called by he Nick Name of Rusty Dick< no role > did not at any time
attack robb or forcibly take away from any Person whatsoever on the Highway in the said County of Oxford any Money
or Goods whatsoever Which said Combination and Conspiracy of the said Elizabeth Nicholls< no role > This name instance is in set 1683. and Edward Bygrave< no role > were
to the great peril of the Life and destruction of the said William Frankland< no role > To the manifest Perversion ofJustice and ofthe
Laws of this Kingdom To the evil Example of all others in the like case offending and against the Peace of theour
said Lord the King his Crown and Dignity etc Whereupon the Sherif of the said County of Middx was
commanded that he did should not omit by reason of any Liberty in his Bailiwick but that he should cause the said

Session of Oyer and Terminer holden at Hicks Hall aforesaid is and for the said County of Middx on the said
Monday the eleventh day of January in the said fifteenth year of the reign of our said now Lord the King

Nichols said that she was not guilty thereof and thereupon she put herself upon the County And Peter

King in that behalf did the like etc Whereupon such further Proceedings were had upon the Indictment
