perjury

John Wigley< no role > the prosecutor in this Cause maketh
oath that he was prepar'd & had his witnesses read
to try the travers on this Indictmt at the last Sessions
held in February last and Mrs Child who heres at
Bath was then brought upon purpose at this Dept
expence from Bath, But the Deft at that Sessions
put off at the triall on prtended that some material
witnesses were abroad or could not then be had [..]
to that ofsert And this Dept further Saith that
this Dept with his Councel Attorney & his witnesses attended Friday, Sale [..]
& yesterday till eight at night on thereabout
when the Court make a rule for estreating the
Deft Recognizance for not Surrendring
himself after he had been Severall times
calld in Court yesterday both forenoon &
afternoon And this Dept further Saith that
he hath [..] at very great expences in
prparing for trial at ye Sessions in February
& at this Sessions for these there last Success [..]
Court days and this Dept further Saith thati [..]
is advisd & beleives that ye sd Mrs Child is a very
material witness And She has been kept in town
on this occasion ever since She was brough up in [..]
February & this Dept will be oblig'd to keep her [..]
town hill the next Sessions on to bring her up [..]
as an evidence in this Cause Seering the Deft has [..]
not Surrendred himself & brought on his trial
either in February or at this Sessions And the [..]
