Nicholas Archer< no role > of Saint Mary Islington in the
County of Middx Ticket Porter Maketh Oath
that on or about the Seventeenth day of September
last past he this Deponant in Company with William
Slate Richard Smith< no role > Samuel Hinton< no role > Joseph Lawrence< no role >
and one Major did Steal & bear away Sundry parcels
of Beeswax from off Wooll Key near the Custom
house London amounting in the whole toabout
One hundred thirty eight pound Weight and upwards the Goods
and Property of persons unknown And this deponant
further saith that he this deponant & the sd. Richard Smith< no role >
had for their Share Sixty Six pound Weight of the sd.
quantity of Wax which they in Company together
sold And delivered to Mary Haward at the Price of Seven
pence per pound & this deponant received of her for the
same eight & thirty Shillings & Six pence which was equally
devided between this Deponant & the sd. Richard Smith< no role >
And this Deponant further saith that the said Mary Howard< no role >
well knew the said Sixty Six pound of Wax was Stollen for
that this deponant did then acquainte her how he Came by it
And this deponant Saith that he Saw the abovenamed William
Slate
< no role > Steal take & bear away from the sd Keys a quantity
of Beeswax of the Weight of twenty four pounds
and the deponant was Informed by the sd. Wm Slate that
he had Sold the sd. quantity of [..] Wax to the sd. Mary
Haward which the sd. Mary Haward likewise acknowledged
to him this deponant And this Deponant further said that
one Joseph Lawrence< no role > did at the same time Steal take and
bear away from off of the sd. Key one other Pavel of the sd
Beeswax which was Carried and delivered to the shop of
a Drugster near White Chappell Church & there Weighed
at forty Eight pound and the youngman of the shop gave
the sd. Lawrence a Note of the Weight & directed him to Call the
next Morning when his Uncle was at home for the mony
And this deponant further saith that he saw the said Samuel
Hinton & Major Steal take & bear away from off the sd.
Keys one other quantity of the sd. Wax thequantityweight whereof
this deponant Cannot tell
