Examinant & said he would go along with him hath
this Examinant said he wanted no Company there
shrewsbury asked him to give him one pot of Drink
& that then they would part & accordingly did that
this Examinant having a pair of Silver Buckles in
his Shoes with his Name on them he went to a New
Street that leads from Monmouth street to the East
End of Piccadilly where there is a Silversmiths Shop
hath he does not know the Silversmith name with
an Intent to pawn the buckles that before this Exami
nant got thither he met one John Carter< no role > of Hammer
smith with whom he spent four pence halfe penny
that then he went & pawned the buckles for Seven
Shillings that the buckles cost this Examinant
Eleven Shillings, that this Examinant was to pay
Eighten pence for the Loan of the said seven Shill
ings for a fortnight or three weeks, that afterward

ly Sight but knowes not his name & went with
him to the Kings Head in Monmouth Street when
Thomas powell< no role > Servant to Charles Bass< no role > came to
this Examinant & carryed him to the said Charles
Bass at the Red Lyon in Broad St Gyles's that
this Examinant saw not Shrewsbury after they
parted [..] in the Morning nor does remember he saw
Burton at ye Red Lyon being in drink, & Lenye
that he ever said Burton [..] Shrewsbury [..]
else stole the Tankard & that he this Examinant
knows nothing of the Tankard but says he is inno
cent of it
