WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St Gregory
London, That Abigail< no role > the wife of John Hewet< no role > with
their two Children Sarah< no role > aged abt. three Years &
Elizabeth< no role > aged about one year are lately comeout
into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and are likely to become charge
able thereto by reason of their poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Abigail that
her said Husband was an House keeper at the
rent of twenty & four pounds P ann about four
months ago in the parish of St. Anne & Agnes
within Aldersgate London & by any and are
whatsoever hath
not obtaind any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Abigail Hewett & her said
two Children Sarah & Elizabeth to be in the said
parish of St. Anne & Agnes London and
that thitherto they ought by Law to be sent.

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re
quire You to remove and convey the said Abigail Hewet &
her said two Children Sarah & Elizabeth
from and out of your said Parish of St. Gregory
London, to the said Parish of St. Anne & Agnes
London and them leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for them
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the Sixteenth
Day of February Anno Domini 1724 .
