WHEREAS Complaint hath this Day been made
unto us two of His Majesty's Justices of the
Peace for this City, and the Liberties thereof (Quorum
unus) by You the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poor of the Parish of St. Mary Aldermary
London, That one
Jane Baker< no role >
Widow
is lately
come into
your said Parish not having obtained any
legal Settlement there, and is likely to become charge
able thereto by reason of her age and poverty
unless timely prevented,
which Complaint we adjudge to be true. And forasmuch
as it appears unto us by the Oath of the said Jane Baker
that till about seven years ago she was an
House keeper at the rent of eighty pounds P and
in the parish of St. Mary Woodnoth
London & by
any me and whatsoever hath
not obtain d any subsequent Settlement. We the said Ju-
stices are therefore of Opinion, and do adjudge the last
legal Settlement of the said Jane Baker
to be in the said
parish of St. Mary Woolnoth London and
that thitherto she ought by Law to be sent

THESE are therefore in His Majesty's Name to re
quire You to remove and convey the said Jane Baker
from and out of your said Parish of St. Mary Aldermary
London, to the said Parish of St. Mary Woolnoth
London and her leave with the Churchwardens &
Overseers of the Poor there, or one of them, who is and
are hereby required to receive and provide for her
according to Law. Hereof fail not, and this shall be your
Warrant. Given under our Hands and Seals the sixth
Day of January Anno Domini 1724
