Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate
in the County of Middlx

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and Seals are hereunto Sett two of his Majtys Justices of
the peace for the City of London (Quorn Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Botolph wth. out Aldgate abovesd That Edward Hurst< no role >
Cutler with Elizabeth< no role > his wife
lately come into the
said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true. and forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of
the said Edward Hurst that he for severall years
together rented a House of Tenn Pounds a year and
paid all manner of Parochial Taxes in Crown
Court in the Liberty of Eastsmith field
abovesaidand no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us Since We do also adjudge the
saidparishLiberty of Eastsmith fieldto be the place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Botolph Aldgate fothwith to remove and convey
the said Edward hurst and Eliza. his wife
from out of your said parish unto the saidparish ofLiberty
of Eastsmithfield and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there Some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our hands and Seals this. 23dday of
