the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the
Hamblett of Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex

Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and Seals are hereunto sett two of his Majtys Justices of
the peace for the City of London (Quorn Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Botolph without Aldgate LondonThat Mary Lee< no role > wife of John
Lee< no role > with her two Children vizt Ann< no role > aged about Twenty months and
Mary< no role > aged about Ten months arelately come into the
said Parish endeavouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true. and Forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of
Hannah Lee< no role > that the said John Lee served his Apprenticeship
with his Father John Lee< no role > Senr a Weaver in the Hamblett of
Bethnal Green in the County of Middlesex
and no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us since We do also adjudge the
said hamblet of Bethnal Greeneto be the place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St Botolph Aldgateforthwith to remove and convey
the said Mary Lee with her said two Children
from out of your said parish unto the said Hamlet of Bethnal
Greeneand them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there Some or one, of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them according to
Law. Given under our hands and Seals this 16thday of
