Whereas Complaint hath been made unto us whose
hands and Seals are hereunto Sett two of his Majty's Justices of
the peace for the City of London (Quorn Unus) by the
Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poor of the Parish of
St. Botolph without Aldgate

children of the sd William & Joanna Ives are lately come into the
Said Parish endeasouring to Settle there contrary to Law and
unless timely prevented are likely to become chargeable
thereunto which We do adjudge to be true and forasmuch
as it appeareth unto us the said Justices upon the Oath of the
Said Joanna Ives
SeaThat her said late husband William
Ives Served his Apprentice Ship in the Parish of St. Gregory
by St Paul London
and no other legal Settlement
elsewhere appearing unto us Since We do also adjudge the
said parish of St. Gregory by St Paul to be the place of their last
legal Settlement

These are therefore in his Majesty's name to will & require
you the Churchwardens and Overseers of the poor of the said
Parish of St. Botolph without Aldgate forthwith to remove and convey
the said Joanna Ives & Sarah John & Elizabeth her Sd three Children
from out of your said parish unto the said parish of St. Gregory
by St. Paul London and them deliver unto the Churchwardens and
Overseers of the poor there Some or one of them who are
hereby required to receive and provide for them according to
Law Given under our hands and Seals this 19th day of
JuneAnno Dm 1723
