Westmr. bricklayer hath Appeared before Us (Four of His Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the Said County) And Deposeth upon Oath this
Said 17th day of July 1718 That he the said Deponent in Company With
One William Halford< no role > Gardner , Walking from Chelsea to Westminster
towards Strouds. Walks Saw a person who has since owned his Name to be

Upon Which there having been a Robbery Committed the Night before
by Stealing Lead from off the Said Lady Catherine Jones< no role > Greenhouse
the Said Deponent had a Suspicion, that the aforementioned person
Might, be concerned in the Said Robbery; Whereupon the said
Deponent together with the said William Stalford< no role > pursued him
And found him concealed betwixt two Hedges in the Said Lady

fiiled with Lead at a Small distance from him; And
further this Deponent Saith that.
