Complaint being this day made unto us, whose hands & seals
are hereunto sett Two of his Majesties Justices of the peace
for this citty and Liberties thereof (quor Uns) by you the Church-
wardens, & overseers for the poore of the psh of Sr: Gregory by Sr.
Paul that Henry Maverty< no role > Mary< no role > his wife with three childn.
Vzt. John< no role > about Eight, Mary< no role > about three years & George< no role > abt.
nine months old ware come into your parish not being Leg-
-ally settled theire And if not timely prevented may become
chargeable thereunto: And for as much as it appears unto us
the said Justice upon the Oath of the said Henry Maverty< no role >
that he servd the Last two years of his apprenticeshp with
one Isaac Puller< no role > cane chair maker , then inhabitant
in the psh of St. Nicholas cole abby< no role > , and that he hath not
by any means whatever, gaind any subsequent settlement.
We doe therefore adjudge the said parish of St. Nicholas [..]
-le Abby to be the Legall settlement of the said Henry Maverty
Mary his wife , and John, Mary, and George theire three
Children And theither by Law they ought to be sent

requiring you the church wardens, and overseers for the
poore of the parish of St. Gregory by Sr. Paul forthwith up-
-on sight hereof convey the abovesaid Henry Maverley< no role >
togeather with Mary< no role > his wife & John< no role > , Mary< no role > & George< no role >
theire Children into the psh of St. Nicholas Coleabby afore
-said, theire delivering them to the church wardens and
Overseers thereof, Or some one of them: Whoe are hereby
required to receive, & provide for according to Law: hereof
faile not at your perrills. Given under our hands and
seals this Twenty first day of March 1715
