Whereas complaint hath beene made unto as Whose hands & Seales are hereunto
Set two of her Majesties Justices of the Peace of the Citty of London (Quorum
unus) by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the Poore of the Parish of St. Giles
without Criplegate London that Elizabeth Ballard< no role > late Wife of Henry Ballard< no role >
deceased is lately come into the Said Parish endeavoureing to gaine a Setlement
there without giveing Notice in writeing to the Churchwardens and Overseers of
the Poore of the Same Parish of the Place of her Abode as by Law is required
and is likely to become chargeable to the Said Parish And for as much as Oath
is made before as by Mary Langely< no role > that the last legall Settlement of Henry
Ballard aforesaid was in the Parish of St. Antholins where he lived and Served as
Aprentice by Indenture toEdwards dwelling in Cobbs Court in Budge row
Barber . Their are therefore in her Majesties Name to will and require you the
Officers of the Parish of St. Giles Criplegate aforesaid Some or One of you to
take passe and convey the Said [..] Elizabeth Ballard< no role > to the Parish of St. Antholins
and there deliver Her to the Churchwardens and Overseers of the Poore of the
Same Parish or One of Them Who are hereby likewise in her Majesties Name
required to receive and provide for Her according to law and hereof own nor
and of you are to faile given under our hands & Seales this firstdayof
August Seaventeene hundred and Six
