Tho: Butcher< no role > this Examt. being duely Examined
before me Saith & Confesseth yt abt. 3 weeks since
wch. was about ye 8th: of 8ber Instant Himselfe and
Wm, Morgan< no role > who is in Colonel Bellasis foot Regiment
undr Capt . John Dowing< no role > did Travell on ye Roade from
Uxbridge toward London & yt he met wth Mr Phillip
Baker
< no role > ye prosecutor who is here present & walked wth
him ye day a great way & as for ye Coat yt he is Charged
wth. he Saith yt he did not steal it but Mr Baker did
give it him in exchange for an old one of his
and for ye Plate buttoned Wastcoate he Sayes Mr Baker
gave it to him and for ye watch this Examt. Saith yt the
watch he had and pawned it to James Eades a highter man
in Southwark for 13s. and pawned 2 doz: of plate Buttons yt
came of off ye Wastcoate to a Victualer at ye globe in South-
warke for 2s. & 1 doz ½ at Gravesend for 1s 6d and farther
this Examint. doth not say

abt. 3 weeks since he was on ye Road wth. Tho: Butcher and
Phillip Baker< no role > on ye day yt She sd. Bakers doth pretend he
was robbed & he Saith yt as for ye Coat yt Mr Baker lost
he Saith yt he gave it to Tho: Butcher< no role > for aked coate
and gave his half for a Soldiers Capp as for ye plate buttons
wastcoate & ye Shoes ye Watch & ye Silver buckles he this
Examt. knoweth nothing of them nor of ye Stealing of
any thing
