whereas Margarett Axtell< no role > late wife of Richard Axtell< no role > deced & William< no role > & Anne< no role >
their children by virtue of a warrant under the hands & seales of twoe of his Maties.
Justices of the peace wth. in this City one being of the Quor beareing date the sixth day
of June 1695 were sent & delivered by the Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore
of the parish of St. Brides London unto the Churchwardens & Overseers of the
poore of the parish of St. Gyles wthout Cripplegate London upon the oath of
Elizabeth Osman< no role > That the said Richard Axtell< no role > served his Appnticeshipp wth
one Samuel Osborne< no role > A ffounder her former husband in the send Parish of St Gyles
Cripplegate Now upon hearing the Appeale of the said Churchwardens &
overseers of the poore of the said parish of St. Gyles Cripplegate withe prsence of the
Churchwardens & Overseers of the poore of the said parish of St. Brides
whoe appeared to mainteyne the said warrant And itt appeareing to this
Courte upon the oathes of severall witnesses That the said Richard Axtell< no role >
after the expiration of his Appticeshipp to witt in the moneth of February
1684 tooke a lodging in the house of one John Mason< no role > in the said parish of
St. Brides where hee marryed wth. the said Margarett & dwell thereinfor the
about Tenne yeares & there dyed which this Counter admdyeth to be the left legall
Settlemt of the said Richard and Margarett Axtell Itt is therefore Ordered by this Courts That
the said warrant or order made by the said twoe Justices by Quashed And that the
said Margarett Axtell< no role > wth. her twoe children be sent & delivered To the Churchwardens
& overseers of the Poore of the said parish of St. Brides where her late husband [..] wth her were last legally
other To be by them provided for & mainteyned untill They can free themselfes of
the charge thereof by due course of Lane
