Who being upon Oath saith that he Knows a person
now present who calls himself Jacob Canter< no role >
That
on or about the 4th. day of September last said
Canter applied at the House of Messrs: Prescott and
Co. Bankers in Tread needle Street
to open an
Account This Informant attended said Canter
and received from him £100That said Canter
said his Name was Johan Rhode< no role >
alreadyandinto
accordingly enter'd his Name in the Book Kept for
that purposeThat this Informant then gave said
Canter as is usual a small Book and a
few CheequesAnd this Informant further says
that he Knows William Morris< no role >
one of the Porters
of Grays Inn
That on or about the 22nd. day of
September last said Morris presented the Draft
for £700 now produced for payment at the
House of said Messrs: Prescott and Co which was
RefusedAnd further says that he then went with
said Morris to the Grays Inn Coffee House
and
waited for two Hours for the purpose of meeting
the person from whom said Morris said he had
received said Draft but he did not appear
