of the Nags head Yard Orange Street Leicester Fields
taken on Oath before me this 18th. day of November
1789.

Who being on Oath severally say, and first the said
Augustus Everard< no role > Brande for himself says, that on Saturday
last about Five o'Clock in the Evening as he was Returning
to Town in a Post Chaise in Hyde Park he saw a Man in
the footpath by side of the Carriage Road a considerable
distance before the Chaise walking slowly along, that when
the Chaise came near to said Man he turned suddenly round
And told the Driver to Stop at the same time holding up a
Pistol to him, that as soon as the Driver Stopped said
Man came to the Chaise Door on the left hand and opened it
And with Oaths Demanded Informants Money, that he then
had the Pistol in his left hand and appeared to be pointed at
the Driver, that this Informant gave him two Guineas, a
Shilling of his present Majesty's Coin, and a Small Silver
Russia Coin, that said Man then asked Informant for
his Watch, to which he replied it was not worth his acceptance
And he then went away, And this Informant further saith that
the person now present who calls himselfby Charles Jones< no role > he
verily believes to be the person, who Robbed him as aforesaid
and that the Pistol now produced he also believes to be the same
that said Jones Presented at the time he Robbed him as aforesaid
And the said Michael Everard< no role > for himself says that he
drove the Post Chaise at this time, And from the appearance
of the said Charles Jones< no role > he verily believes him to be the
