Brew house Yard Shad well and Hannah Hall< no role > at Mr George Trotter< no role > at
the sign of the Hustle and Crown in New Gravel Lane Shadwell taken
this day before me one of his Majesty Justice of the Peace in and for
the said County

Who being on their Oath severally say and First the said Patrick Barney< no role >
for himself saith that about four O' Clock in the Morning of Monday the
Nineteen day of October Instant he was in a Room belonging to the
Prisoner Present Who says her name is Mary Ann Short< no role > at No. 121 in
New Gravel Lane Sleeping in a Chair that While he was a Sleep he
felt the Prisoner taking her hand out of his Watch Pocket in Which was One
Guinea in Gold that Informant immediatly Challenged her with
having taken his Money When the threw his Hat away and asked him
Whether he was going to rob her (First examination his Pocket) that having
Lost the said Guinea which he had in his Pocket at the time he went into
the room he applied to an offer and had her taken into Custody and brought
before the Majesty at the Public office thad for Examination
and the said Hannah Hall< no role > for here saith that about six O' Clock in the
Morning of Monday last a little Girl servant to the Prisoner Present
Mary ann< no role > Roof came to sex Trotter House for a Quarter of Girl Which
Informant served said Girl with and was Paid Two Pence in Half Pence for
the same that the said Girl took a Guinea out of her Mouth and asked
this Informant it it was a Guinea and asked her to weigh it which
Informant did and told Girl it was a Good one they Girl there sayed She
was Glad of it becomes it was her Own that informant asked said
Girl how the came by it who answered a Gentleman give it to her
Misstress which was in her [..] Mistresses room
