Brick layer taken on Oath before me this
26th day of September 1789

Who being on severally say and first said
Thomas Daly< no role > for himself says that the House from Whence the
Load was taken he built and is now Inhabited by Thomas Trotter< no role >
in Arabella row Pinlico that the Hammer now Produced he this
Morning found on the party Wall near the Gutter From Whence the
Lead was taken and further says that the dead now Produced
he found this Morning in a back Garrett in the house of Mr
Godley at Pimlies Which house the two Persons now Present
Who Call themselves John Oxford< no role > and Daniel Hurley< no role > and other
were employed is Slate And the said John Stilwell< no role > for himself
says that last Night above six o Clock he saw the said John Oxford< no role >
come from the top of the house Which he was Slating and
that the said Daniel Hurley< no role > held a Ladder for said Oxford to
get down and that said Oxford Slipped from the Leader said
Hurley held for him And the said Edward Goodyer< no role > for himself
says that he was with Stilwell ar this time that he saw said Oxford get
from the Gutter of the Fifth house from that from Whence the Lead was
taken to the ridge, then get down the Roof, and held by his hands upon
the Gable and When said Hurley put a Ladder for him to come
down, upon Which Ladder he did come down, but in coming down
fell upon the Scaffold, that said Oxford them get up to All Dormer
Window and Stood behind the Window
