he delivered yesterday morning into the hands of the said Fendall
Rushforth
< no role > were purchased by him about two years since of
Thomas Read< no role > at No1 Ely Court Holborn And this Informant
further says that the said buckles are in every respect the
same as when he purchased them of the said Thomas Read< no role >
and at the time he so purchased them he had no knowledge
nor Suspicion that they had a Counterfeit mark or Stamp
on them And the said John Pingo for himeslf says that
he is employed by the Company of Gold smiths in London to
make the marks or Stamps used by them in marking or
Stamping Gold and Silver plate And that the tongues and
Chapes of three of the said two pairs of Silver buckles now
produced [..] are marked or Stamped with Counterfeit Mark
or Stamp resembling that made use of by the said Company
of Goldsmiths.
