Evening about eight oClock a Servant boy belonging to
a Publican in Cock Pitt Alley came to Mr. Roes and told him
that there was a h'oman at their House who it was supposed
had got the Gentlewoman 's Cloak that was lost upon which
his Master and the said Sarah Smith< no role > went and found the
Prisoner there who was brought to Mr. Roes House
& sent for a Constable but before any such Officer came
the Cloak was found

William Clausey< no role > for himself saith that he lodges in
Cock Pitt Alley and coming from his Business betwixt
seven and eight oClock in the Eveng. on the Fifth of May
Instant to his Lodgings he stood with his Landlord
in his Shop when the Prisoner Mary Coghlan< no role > came in and
in a few Minuits afterwards Mr. Roe of Great Wyld
Street and Sarah Smith< no role > came in and the Prisoner then
said do you want one upon which Mr. Roe said have you
the said Sarah Smith< no role > then fett about the Prisoner but
did not find any but upon a Lytit being produced the
Cloak was found and the said Sarah Smith< no role > owned the
same and said it was her Property
