James Miller< no role > on his Oath saith on Friday Night the 18 of Janr
1788 [..] Between the Hours of Seven and Eight he saw John
Hayes
< no role > on the Top of a House in Farmers Street Shadwell he went
and apprehended him there.

John Sheffield< no role > on his Oath saith on Friday night last he heard
an Alarm of Thieves that he run out of Doors [..] saw one or Two head
on the side of a Chimney on the Top of a house in Farmer Street
and saw James Hunt< no role > come down from said house on his This
Informants Tiles and run along a Brick Wall and went into
a Yard where he Stopt him

Samuel Cormartie< no role > on his Oath saith on Friday night the 28th
Instant he heard a Cry of Thieves being then in Farmer Street
that he went up the Stairs of [..] a house inhabited by Mrs. Randal
and on the Tiles of the some where he saw John Hayes< no role > and
John Colley< no role > standing [..] by a Chimney [..] of the house of Mr.
Caney and that he apprehended John Colley< no role > , Further says he saw
Four Pieces of Street Lead wrapt up in Four parcells lying on the
said house near say, that he brought one of the said pieces of Lead
which are now produced to this Office

William Smith< no role > on his Oath saith last Friday night about the hour of
Seven he heard a noise on the Top of an Empty house adjourning in Farmer
Street says he went into said Empty house up Stairs into the Garnet
where he found the lath and Plaister broke That he went out on the
Lead and saw a Man behind one of the Chimneys who got away and
looking around he saw Three pieces of Street Lead wrapt up in the sutter of
the House he lives belonging to Mr. CaneySays he saw John Colley< no role > and
John Hayes< no role > on the Top of the said house who surrendred themselves to
him saying the could only Suffer the Law
