The Information of John Dinmore< no role > taken
upon Oath before me William Blackborow< no role > Esquire
One of His Majesty's Justices of the Peace in and for
the said County this 24th. day of January 1788

Who upon his Oath saith that on the Eighteenth day of Jany.
Instant in consequence of an Information he this Informant received
He went in company with Edward Lavender< no role > and Thomas Isaac< no role >
to a Public House called by the Sign of the Yorkshire Grey in Bonds
Stables Fetter Lane in order to Search the Apartment of one Thomas
Bennett< no role > otherwise Peace Coining being Supposed to be there carryed
on That in Searching the said Apartment he this Informant saw
found in the Room a quantity of blacking some pieces of Cork and
a file And in a Table Drawer which was locked with a Small brass
Padlock it being broke open was found therein a quantity of
false and Counterfeit Shillings and Six pences a quantity of
Scowering paper a piece of Leather some Cook and other
things. That the Evidence Elizabeth Bennett< no role > was in another
room when this Informant & theothersaid Edward Lavender< no role >
and Thomas Isaac< no role > went into the Apartment but she was
present during the Search and when the Table Drawer was
broke open as aforesaid she immediately exclaimed that
he was a great Villain and she hoped he would he Hanged
and She gave direction where to Apprehend him. That he was
Apprehended and brought before Mr Blackborow the Magestrate
where this Informant Assisted in Searching him and found in
his Coat Pockett [..] a Leather bag containing One Hundred
& twenty Counterfeit Six pences And Sixty Counterfeit Shillings
This Informant also saw a quantity more found on him by
Edwd. Lavender and that he the said Thomas Pearce< no role > never
would give and Answer to any question that was put
to him and said it is no use asking me any Questions
for I will not tell you my Christian Name And this
