Porter taken before me this 9th,, day of
December 1788.

Who being upon his Oath saith that on Friday the
fifth day of December instant he received a Message from John Burn< no role >
now present by his Wife; requesting him to call upon said Burn
in Tothill Fields Bridewell which he did and found said Burn there
under Confinement, when said Burn declared to this Informant
that he was innocent of the Forgery with which he was charged
for that patrick Lyon< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. now present of Brush Alley East Smithfield
sent for him from his Own House No 2 in Sugarloaf Court
Goodmans Yard in the Minories to the Cock and Horn in Dukes place
where he found said Lyon and one John Agan which two persons
took him to the Lodgings of a Woman who cohabited with Agars
in Woolpack Alley where Lyons produced the Paper gave it to
the Woman and desired that he Burn would accompany her to the
Pay Table That said Burn added that he knew nothing of said
Woman and desired this Informant would do every thing
in his Power to apprehend said Woman and said Lyon and in
Consequence there of he has caused said Lyon to be apprehended.
