Soon after he heard one of his Men crying abaft
Said Lugger for Assistance that Informant ran
to him and found one of the Luggers Men, Whose
Name this Informant does not Known Struggling
with Charles Smith< no role > (belonging to this Informant)
had got him down and attempted to throttle him
That this Informant Struck Said Man with his
Cutlass, when Said Man begg'd he would not
kill him and Informant ordered him to go in ten
the Cabin among the other Men which he did. That
this Informant had then got complete Possession
of said Lugger which soon after drove on Shore
the Cable and Mizen Street being cut. And this
Informant further says that on Account of the
darkness of the night he does not know the person
of any one of the Men belonging to Said Lugger
who fired at, Struck or resisted him as aforesaid
