Middlesex to Wit


The Information of James Dawson< no role > of
No 258 Whitechapel Road in the
County of Middlesex Labourer taken
before me this 3rd. day of September 1788

Who being upon Oath Saith, that he hath
Strictly observed and attended to a person now present
who calls himself William Wilkins< no role > , whom he is
very sure is the Wilkins alluded to in this
Informants testimony before Sir Sampson Wright< no role >
on the 4th. day of August 1788. And this Informant
now Says that when the said Henry Newell< no role > was
struck by the Person unknown he did not
immediately fall but reeled. That he however
very believes that the said Person would have
fallen with that Blow when the said Wilkins with
a Stick [..] in his Hand came before the said
Newell and Struck him on the left side of his
head [..] and the said Blow brought him upon his Hands and
Knees; at which time said Wilkins said "Damn
us [..] or damn him let us Kill him
and Struck him instantly on the Loins by which said
Blow said Newell was brought to the Ground
