handled Knives and forks two pairs
of Scissars of the value of Three pounds
he the said James Holding< no role > upon
his examination now taken before
me voluntarily confesseth that he is a Servant
to the said John Roberts< no role > , that
about three weeks ago he Stole in
the Shop of the said John Roberts< no role >
in Oxford Street aforesaid in the
parish and County aforesaid a
quarter of a thousand of ten penny
Nails and on the same Day went
to the house of the person now present
who calls himself William Jones< no role > , who
keeps an old vion Shop in Green's
Court in the parish of Saint James
Westminster in the Said County
And there Saw the other person present
who calls herself Elizabeth Jones< no role > , that
he Shewed her the Nails And asked
her if she bought Such things, when
She said Yes, and anything that he would
bring he then asked her what she would
give for the Nails, when she said two pence
a pound weight, he then sold her the
Quarter of a thousand of Nails for five
pence which she then paid to him
