Fulham Nursery man the said

Wife of James Holder< no role > of No. 225
Strand Stick Manufacturer and
Edward Evans< no role > Servant to the Said
James Holder< no role > taken before me this
4th. day of March 1788

Who being upon Oath severally say and first
the said John Skudder< no role > for himself says that on
Thursday the 28th. day of February last he was at
Work in his Masters Nursery till Six o'Clock in the
Evening at which time all the Yew Trees in his
Masters Nursery were safe That about ten
Minutes after six the next Morning he discovered
that many of the Yew Trees had been cut and
Stolen in that part of the Nursery near Elisiam
Row amounting in Number as he believes to
twelve or Fifteen and further Says that between
Six and seven on the said Thursday Night he
met a Man in the back Lane near the Nursery
whom he verily believes to be the person now
present who calls himself Richard Burton< no role >

And the said Matthew Burchell< no role > for himself
Says that on Thursday Night the 28th. of February
last Fifteen Sticks of yew Plants were cut and
Stolen in his said Nursery and is very sure that
Fifteen Yew Plants now produced by James Holder< no role >
