The Informations of William Golden< no role >
and John Golden< no role > Sons of Daniel
Golden
< no role > of No 178 Strand Linen Draper
taken before me this 29th day of September
1787

Who being upon Oath severally Say and first the said William
Golden
< no role > for himself Says that between three and four o'Clock
this Afternoon as he was in his Fathers Shop he heard the
Shop window Crack that upon his going out he observed the
persons now present who calls himself Charles Stewart< no role >
go Iron the Shop window and looking behind him That
Informant then returned into the Shop again and shortly
after observed two other laves come up to said Window and
push the Glass which had been before broke That in about
a quarter of an Hour after a little boy came without his
Coat and pushed the Glass but did not push it out That in
about two Minutes the said Stewart came up and pushed
the broker Glass into the Window and took the broken Piece
with him That in a few Minutes after said Stewart
returned to the window again and removed the piece of
Handkerchief now produced (which before lay at a little
distance from the window) nearer to the Hole which had
been made in the Glass that whilst he was gone this
Informant communicated what he had seers to his Brother
John Golden< no role > That in a short Space of time said Stewart
returned and said hold of the said peice of Handkerchief when
he apprized his Brother who raw out after him And the said
John Golden< no role > for himself Says that he raw out and in they Street
secured the said Stewart with the said piece of Hand kerchief in
his Hand
