The Information of
John Humphries< no role > , Thomas
Ploughman
< no role > and Richard
Lee
< no role > taken before me one
of his Majesty's Justices of
the peace for the said County

Who being Severally upon Oath say
And first this Informant John
Humphries
< no role > for himself Saith That
about twenty months ago he left in care
of John Jell< no role > and the person now present
who calls herself Mary Jell< no role > at their
house at No: 4 in Conduit Court Long Acre
a Case containing a number of Books and
Prints which are the property of Doctor.
Alexander Hay< no role > and were left in this
Informant's care about three years age,
that being informed that the said John
Jell
< no role > was going to dispose of his own goods
and to leave the Said house, he went this
day and for demanded the said Case and Books
when the said John Jell< no role > desired this
Informant to go up Stairs and he would
find the said case in the back room on
the second floor, that this Informant
then went up stairs and found the case
had been broke open and all the Books
feloniously taken and carried away
and in lien thereof a quantity of stones
