in the precinct of Saint Catherines
in the said County Victualer
Taken this 13th. day of October 1787
Who being on his Oath Saith that on the 27th. day of September
last about seven O Clock in the Evening
William Whiteway< no role >
came to the House of this Informant and desired a Press Gang
that was Sitting in the Tap Room in Informants house to
Stand up which they did, further Saith that a Woman pointed
at

when Whiteway said he must go along
with him when Philbin replyed he would not go with any
Damned Bloody Bugges of a Runner in the Kingdom, Saith that
William Pickett< no role >
passed his word to Dawson for Philbins
Appearance in the Morning When Whiteway said he would
not go without him and said if he did not come along he
would Shoot him and Instantly took a Pistol out of his
Pocket of fired at the said

the Contents
of which Pistol wounded him over the Right Eye and
Lastly Saith he verily believes the said Pistol was loaded
with Powder and Shot
