Henry Gillies< no role >
for Felony

William Baleem< no role > of Tottenham High Cross in the
County of Middlesex Blacksmith and William Liman< no role >
of the same Place Watchman severally make Oath
and say that they were bound by Recognizance taken before
Mr. Justice Wilmot in the Month of July last to appear
at the then next Session to be holden for the County of Middlesex
at the Session house on Clerkenwell Green then and there to
give Evidence before the Grand Jury against the abovenamed
Barnard Halford< no role > and William Pearson< no role > on Suspicion of
feloniously stealing a Watch of Henry Gillies< no role > . That they
these Deponents duly attended at the Session House aforesaid
on the tenth day of September last in order to give such
Evidence before the Grand Jury that the said Henry Gillies< no role >
also attended and then and there preferred a Bill of Indict
ment before the Grand Jury against the abovenamed
Prisoners for the said Offence That they these Deponents
were informed by the said Henry Gillies< no role > and some other
person attending in the Office at the Session house aforesaid
that the Evidence which they these Deponents could give
against the above Prisoners [..] was not material and
that they need not wait to go before the Grand Jury but
might return to their respective Homes That they these
Deponents thinking the Same to be true did return to their
respective Homes being Ignorant that such their Recogni-
-zances would be forfeited for not attending before the
Grand Jury then sitting at the Session house aforesaid
And further these Deponents Severally say that their
not appearg: before the Grand Jury was not with any view to serve the
Prisoners or from any hope of Reward or Promise thereof
from any one whatever but happened entirely from the
