Informations taken this twenty third
day of July 1787 at the Parish of
St. George Hanover Square within the
Liberty of Westminster in the County
of Middlesex upon an Inquisition
touching the death of Sarah Thomas< no role >
lying dead in the said Parish Liberty
and County

Margaret Parrett< no role > Wife of William Parrett< no role >
Victualler at the Sign of the Royal Exchange
in Adams Mews in the Parish of St. George
Hanover Square on her Oath saith That
Sarah Thomas< no role > Wife of Sampson Thomas< no role > (as Dept.
believes) lodged on the Second Floor, in Depts.
House and lodged there before Dept. came to
the House, being about four Month, Says hat
about a Month ago She heard the Deced
"and her Husband have Angry Words one
Morning soon After Mr. Thomas [..] home
(the Deced having been Drinking that
Morning, and was ad Lieted to Drinking
Says that the Husband went out and the
Deced soon after called for a Pint ' of Beer
as Dept. thinks which Dept. carried up to
the Deced who was crying and on asking
what was the Matter Deced said that Mr. Thomas
had thrown or Picked her down, and shew
Dept. her Knee, the Skin being Grazed; Says
that about Five o'Clock last Saturday (July 21.)
Mr. Thomas came home and went up Stairs
That about Six o'Clock Mr. Thomas come
down and desired Dept. to go up Stairs
upon which She went with him and saw
the Deced sitting upon the Floor with her
Head learning downwards, her Upper Petticoat
being upon the Floor near to Fire Place
and a Roll which Deced used to wear on her heard in
the Grate, the Deced having no Stocking on, Says
