upon an Inquisition touching
the death of

Surgeon
on his Oath saith
That this day about half after One o'Clock
this Dept. was desired, to come toagainst
a Warran who was Drowned [..]
Water Tub, upon which he went to
Mr. Currie's in King Street Westmr
. and
saw the Deced in a Water tub with
her feet down wards, no Water being
in the Tub but Deced's Cloths being Wet,
Says that he ordered the Tub to be
pulled down and Deced was pulled
out of it, when [..] appeared to have
been considerable time Drowned
Says that he was since Examining the Body, but
found no external Marks of violence
upon her, there being a fullness in Deced's
Throat, occasioned he believes by
Deced's lying so long in the Tub, Says
that the Deced might put herself into the
Water tub but thinks she would have
grazed herself against. the Tub, Edge of the
Tub, Says that there was a Blackness on
the inside of the right Arm, and Dept. thinks some
congealed Blood, which might have happened
either, by her being forced into the Tub or
by putting herself into it
