John Griffin< no role > against Elizabeth Salmon< no role >
with her Examination taken before
me one of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said
County

Richard Berry< no role > of New Street Debtford in
the County of Kent on his Oath saith that
he is a Ship wright That he dined at [..]
home Yesterdayby himself andwith his Children his
Wife having gone to London in the Morning
and not returned that he left the presence
Elizabeth Salmon< no role > who is Sister to his Wife
inthe Househis Apartments That when he returned home
in the Evening about Six o'Clock (his wifewas
not then returned) he found that his
Chamber Door had been Bursted open and several
Articles Stolen from out of hisHouseApartments
particularly, out of a Drawer in his sd Chamber one Linen Bag containg. four Guineas
in Gold same Silver and Half pence
Amounting in the whole to the Sum of £5.2s.6d
and that the said Elizabeth Salmon< no role > was
gone from hisHouseApartments and had left his Children with a Neighbour that he verily believes
the Linen Bag now produced by John
Griffin
< no role > Beadle of White Chapels isthe property
of this Informant and
the same Bag that
was Stolen from out of his Drawers with
his Money and other Articles as aforesaid [..] that the said Bag and
Money was kept by this Informant in
Trust for a friendly Society of the is right
at DebtfordLastly saith that
he this Informants was prevent this
Morning at the House of the said John
