taken before me this 21st
day of May 1787
Who being upon Oath severally say and first the
said Mary Hays< no role >
for herself saith that on Saturday the
fifth day of May instant about nine oClock in the Evening on she the Informant was
going in a Coach from London to Acton
she was stopped
near East Acton Lane
That a Man immediately opened
the door of the Coach and got into the Coach to this
Informant with a Hanger in his Hand and demanded
this Informants Money which this Informant gave him
to the Amount of Thirty seven Shillings That he the
demanded the Watch and Rings of this Informant
Informant replied she had no Watch nor Ring except
her Wedding Ring at which time a man who stood
in the door way of the said Coach asked the Man
who was in the Coach if this Informant had a Cloak
when the Man who was in the Coach replied yas and
immediately took the Cloak of the Shoulders of this
Informant and went away and this Informant further
Says that the Clock now produced by the said Joseph
Doley< no role >
is the Cloak that was taken form this Informant
And this Informant further says that the two Persons now Present who call
themselves William Cousins< no role >
and John Lawson< no role >
very much resemble the said two
as aforesaid and Persons who robbed her is aforesaid And the said Joseph Doley< no role >
for himself saith
