blood the deceased immediately asked this Examinant if
she had got a light she replied No. Horseman I did not
wait for one. and asked him what was the Matter and
how he came into that stale he replied the Lord bless
ye something has run over my saw. Examinant then
went down stairs and the Fire in the Kitchen being
then cunning she lighted a candle and returned with
it to the deceased. and desired him to tell her
how the accident happened he replied don't
ask me I don't know. Examinant then called
John Trotman< no role > a Blacksmith a Lodger in the deceased
House desired him to get up and go for [..] the deceased
Nephew William Winkworth< no role > and the Doctor who
lived up Town - he did so and returned with the
Nephew but could not make the Doctor hear him
Examinant says that before she called Trotman she
finding the deceased so bloody exainedred what was
the Cause of it and found his head beal in a most
shocking manner in several places the blood flowing
violently which she endeavoured to stop with a pillow
and while Trotman was gone for ye Nephew
Examinant lighted a fire in the deceased Room
and as Trotman head returned without the Doctor she
immediately sent him and the deceased Nephew
to a Mr. Freker an apothecary in Tottenham Court Road
and about four oClock they returned with a [..]
St. Ledger a Surgeon who immediately endeavoured
to stop the blood (which examinant had tried to do
with brandy and Cobwebs before became) and he
also dressed the wounds as quick as possible and
stayed tree about seven oClock and then dressed the
wounds again and went away and about two or three
oClock in the afternoon a Mr. Heaviside a Surgeon.
