The several Information of Jacob Freeman< no role >
Isaac Hunt< no role > George Parsons< no role > and Abraham
Silk
< no role > Touching the Murder of Duncan
Robinson
< no role > deceased Taken the Eighth day of
December 1786 .

Who upon their Oaths severally say and first the said
Jacob Freeman< no role > for himself Saith That he is very well
acquainted with the person of Richard Payne< no role > now in Custody
and who Stands Charged by the Coroners Inquest with the
Wilful Murder of the said Duncan Robinson
That he received Information yesterday That the said
Richard Payne< no role > had Enlisted himself for an East India
Soldier Whereupon he went to the India House and
requested the Books might be searched and was informed
That no person of that Name was on the Books That he
then went to the Swan Alehouse in Rosemary Lane the
Rendesvoige for Enlisting East India Soldiers at which
place he was informed the said Richard Payne< no role > had Enlisted
and upon asking for the Lists of Recruitt they were Shewn
to him and in such Lists he found the Name of James
Davis
< no role > which in every respect answered the Description of
the said Richard Payne< no role > and who he was informed was
on Board the Princes Royal East India man lying
near Gravesend . That he then applied to Justice Quarrell
and obtained a Warrant upon his own Oath Against the said
James Davis< no role > on Suspicion which Warrant was afterwards
made special to him by Justice Staples who gave him
a Letter to Chas: Wm Cogan< no role > Esqr . Seag to the East India
That the said-Mr. Cogan then gave this informant
an Order to the Commanding Officer on board the Princes
Royal to deliver to him the Body of the said James
Davis
< no role > if he appeared to be the Identical person he was in
Search after That this Informant together with Mr. Hunt
