The Information of John Lucas< no role > of York Street Covent
Garden Gentleman James Duckworth< no role > of Newington
Causeway and John Eavell< no role > of Islington Collectors
of the Tolls Severally taken upon Oath before me
William Blackborow< no role > Esqr . One of His Majesty's Justices
of the Peace in and for the said County this 10th. day
of November 1786 .

These Informants upon their Oaths Severally say
first the said John Lucas< no role > for himself saith that at about
the hour of six o Clock in the Evening of the eighth day of Novemr
Instant the this Informant being Renter of the Tolls Stopped at
the Islington Gate opposite white lyon Row in the Brish of St [..]
James Clerkenwell in the said County That the Prisoner
William Ashbourne< no role > did at the same time and almost at the same
Moment that he this Informant went into the Toll House Wilfully
and Maliciously Drive a Waggon and time Horses against the
said Toll House Erected and set up to present passengers from
passing without paying the Toll as directed to be paid by Authority
of Parliament whereby the said House was Feloniously [..]
Wilfully and Maliciously Pulled down and Plucked up and
this Informant further saith that there was not any Carriage
Passing or any other Obstruction whatever that could possibly
drive by accident the said Waggon & Horses against the said
Toll House and as there is a large Post set and Affixed before
the said Toll House to which the Gate Hangs therefore further
saith that the same must be done by the said William Ashbourne
Feloniously Wilfully and Maliciously Secondly the said James
Duckworth on his Oath saith that the above account as given
by the said John Lucas< no role > is the whole Truth he being
present in the Toll House at the same time and that the
said William Ashboune< no role > did Feloniously Wilfully and
