me this 8th. day of December 1786
Who being on Oath severally say and first the said
David Davies< no role >
for himself saith that on Friday the 24th. day
of November last about a quarter past seven o'Clock in
the Morning upon his going into his Masters Shop he
observed that a quantity of Goods had been taken out of one
of the Show Glasses which he saw in the said Show Glasses
when he shirt up the Shop the proceeding Evening that
he immediately went to call his fellow servant the Person
now present who calls himself Samuel Phipps< no role >
and
found that he was not in bed That upon going into the
Snuff Shop he found the door which leads into the Street
upon the Latch and the said Phipps gone away that
he then desired the Maid to call her Master And the
said Levy Isaac for himself Saith that on Tuesday the
28th. day of November last he was sent for to the Popes Head
in Norwich
where he saw the said Phipps who offered
to sell him the several things now produced vizt. The
Gold Watch 3 Gold Seals and two Gold Seals Rings
a Lapis Lazuli Snuff Box mounted in Metal with
Gold Edgings a Gold Enamelled Snuff Box Nineteen
Plain Gold and Wire Rings and three pair of Gold Ear
Rings and further says that suspecting the said Kings
were stolen he caused said Phipps to be apprehended
And the said William Hebb< no role >
for himself saith that
the said Articles are his Property and were in the said
show Glass on Thursday Evening the 23rd. day of November
last when he went to bed.
