The Information of Abraham Twym< no role >
Labourer to Mrs. Nesbitt of Norwood taken
before in this 5th. day of December 1786 .

Who being on Oath says that a little after ten o'Clock in the
Evening of Tuesday the 3rd. of October last, as this Informant
and John Warren< no role > the Coachman were going to their Bed over the Stables,
this Informant observed one of the Glassis taken out of the Coach
and set against the wall, and the other Glass taken out and
left in the Coach that he observed the Staircase door unlocked
which ought to have been locked That said Warren ran to his
Mistresses's Dwelling house to Alarm the Family whilst this
Informant staid by the Coach-twice to see if any Thrives
came out That upon Warrens return with Assistance, they went
upstairs and examined warrens Bed-room, when this
Informant perceised that his silver Watch and a pair of
corduroy Breeches had been Stolin, together with Warren's
Box Coat, a livery Coat, a red Waistcoat an a Shirt, That
Warren and this Informant returned to the Dwelling house after
this, where they remained about an hour and then went to
Bed. That as Warren and Informant were going into Bed, said
Warren observed to this Informant that he had forgot himself
in the fright" then putted this Informants watch (which had been
stolen) out of his Waistcoat pocket and gave it to him and
said that "Informants Breeches was on the Tester of the
Bed" where Inform and found them. That said Warren observed
that "He had taken said Watch and Breeches and bid then when
"he came to dress himself in the Evening to prevent their being
"stolen in case Thieves came". That said Warren requested
this Informant not to mention the circumstance of his returning
