Bound in a Recognizance of Forty pounds by Sir

his appearance to give Evidence against
Thomas Boss< no role >
for stealing three
pieces of Gold Coin called Moors of the value of seven pounds ten shillings
and three Guineas and a half the property of

. And this
Deponent further saith that he did attend at the Session House at Clerkenwell
agreeable to his said Recognizance in October Session 1785 on order to give
Evidence in his Majesty's behalf against the said
Thomas Boss< no role >
for the
said Offence
whoand that he this Deponent staid there two Days waiting
for the said Campbell the Prosecutor, when he was informed that said
Campbell had received his said Money from said Boss's Wife and was
gone to Scotland, That he this Deponent then went to the Lodgings of the
said Campbell the said Prosecutor (in order for him to attend the said Session
and Prefer his Bill of Indictment against said

said Offence) when this Deponent was informed that said Campbell was
gone to Scotland and that he had settled the business with said Boss
That this Deponent then being unacquainted with the method of the Session
did not know that it was Necessary for him to prefer a Bill of Indictment
(without the said Campbell the Prosecutor) in order to save his said Recognizance
from being forfeited, And further saith that he did Actually attend as aforesaid in order to
give
give his said evidence against said Boss with Effect.
