The Examination [..] of William Athill< no role > and
Ann Cockwayne< no role > taken on Oath the 30th. day
of September 1786 before me one of his Majestys
Justices of the Peace for the County of Middlesex

This [..] Examination his Oath Saith That about
Six Months ago as near as he can recollect as to the
time Jacob Udney< no role > , Isaac Kennedy< no role > and Samuel
Grenon
< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. came to this Examinants house in Black
Eagle street in the Parish of Christ Church about four
o Clock in the morning and ring the Bell, and
Examinant went down stairs and let them in, they
had with them a Quart silver Tankard, two large
silver Table spoons, a pair of Salts and a Table [..]
Clock several Pocket Handkerchiefs but none of
the Plate marked tha they brought it all up stairs
into the Chamber where he paid them for the whole
(Except the Clock) which he did not then pay for not
knowing what price to give for the same, that about
three or four days after he paid Jacob Udney< no role > for the said
Clock the sum of Fifty shillings, they desired this
Examinant to got rid of it as soon as he could because it
came from a near neighbour, he then asked him where
and they told at Mr. Leachmans and that they got in at
the Window shutter And that a Clock now produced by
John Armstrong< no role > a peace officer is the same Clock which
was brought to this Examinants house by, Jacob Udney< no role >
Isaac Kennedy< no role > and Samuel Grenon< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. above mentioned

The said Ann Cockwayne Saith that at the time above
mentioned the said Jacob Udney< no role > , Isaac Kennedy< no role >
and Samuel Grenon< no role > This name instance is in a workspace. came to the said William Atkills< no role >
house in Black Eagle street aforesaid and brought
with them the Articles abovementioned and carr'd
up stairs into the bed Room there and sold the
same to the said William Athill< no role > but she
