Soho Gentleman Taken upon Oath
before me Joseph Girdler< no role > Esqr . one
of his Majesty's Justices of the Peace
in and for the said County of
Middlesex this 19th. day of October
1786

This Informant upon Oath that an
the 17th. day of October Instant [..] about a Quarter
after six in the Evening as the was Eiding in a
Hackney Coach by the New Church in the Strand
the percieved the doer of the said Hackney Coach
to open and at that time she put her hands an
two bundles which the had with her are of which
turned ever and the then percieved a man who
by forced felaniously took from her Perten a Bundle containing
One silk gown, two linnen gewns, one Metal Snuff
box, three shirts, and otherthings the property of Mr.
William Brown< no role > and the verily believes that Henry
James
< no role > was the Perten that took the abovementioned
things by season of the is being taken from the
said Henry James< no role > in about half hour after [..] the
had been so robbed as she has been informed & verily beleives
